A five-part framework for qualifying construction opportunities
Score construction opportunities for fit, timing, access, evidence and actionability.
1. Fit
Does the project match your products, sectors, geography, contract range and delivery capability?
2. Timing
Is the project at a stage where your offer can influence a decision? Planning status and procurement activity help establish the window.
3. Access
Are the relevant developer, architect, consultant or contractor organisations known, with public contact routes where available?
4. Evidence
Can the project status and commercial rationale be traced to current public sources? Record URLs and explain what each source supports.
5. Actionability
Can a salesperson take a specific next step? A good recommendation identifies who to approach, why the timing matters and what to ask.
A score is a prioritisation aid—not certainty. Keep its inputs visible so the team can apply judgement.
